Reasons Behind Foreclosures in the Austin Area

While it is never a great feeling, there are many things that can lead to foreclosure, regardless of your location. In Austin, one of the most recent causes behind foreclosure was the dot-com (and telecom) boom and sudden crash, which gave people a false sense of security, then ripped the rug out from under them. If at all possible, avoid a situation in which you fall behind on a mortgage loan payment so that you don’t end up losing your home.
